The Riverside Church Annual Handbell Festival - 2001

Since 1976 The Riverside Church has hosted an annual English Handbell festival. Only a small number of ringing groups (6-8)can be placed in the Nave. This festival invites only "bronze level" performing groups to participate, directed by an outstanding conductor in the field of handbell ringing. Challenging, yet expressive musical compositions or arrangements (often including vocal or additonal instruments with the bells)are programmed to present the greatest musical and ethnic diversity possible.
